Accomplishment Stories

  1. Fast Learning: When I was an undergraduate, I took many courses in Economics, Political Science, and Management at the same time in just four years, and I gained a considerable degree of mastery in each of these disciplines while maintaining a top 20 ranking in my major and winning numerous scholarships from my university. My ability to learn quickly will help me push myself to become a qualified software development engineer in a technological field that requires constant new knowledge.
  2. Communication: I worked as a Data Analytics Intern in the Jingdong Health department within JD.COM, a role that required me to constantly communicate and collaborate with the six teams within the department to keep the sales and inventory data within the department up to date. In addition, I was responsible for managing the department’s CRM system, helping to identify four potential customers and communicating with them to turn two of them into actual customers. I believe that my excellent communication skills will help me to connect and work with my coworkers faster and better in my future career in technology.
  3. Strong Ownership: I once volunteered as an art teacher in the China Education Support Program, teaching oil painting to 42 primary school students in remote areas. I have a strong ownership of my role and responsibilities. I created 16 lesson plans and built a record keeping system in Excel to track students’ learning progress. In addition, I evaluated teaching outcomes from 2 months of data to provide personalized instruction to students. Eventually, the students I taught won prizes in the city’s oil painting competition. Having a strong sense of ownership is essential in the project-driven world of technology, and I believe it will enable me to excel at every project I encounter.
